Becoming a member of the Group Support Brigade

Step 1: Visit the Rural Fire Service website and familiarise yourself with the process for becoming a member. Click here to be directed there.

Step 2: Visit the RFS Fire Control Centre between 10am and 3pm any weekend (Click here to see a map of where the Fire Control Centre is located)

Leave your details with the friendly staff at the Blue Mountains District Office of the RFS, during normal business hours over the counter (see link to map above) or by calling (02) 4784 7444. We will then get back to you as soon as we can to discuss the formalities of the joining process.

Please note: Once you have joined the Brigade, you will be required to undertake a relevant basic fire fighter or communications centre training course. But don't let this scare you off, as joining and training with us will open up a multitude of fulfilling opportunities to help the community in which we live.
